Wintercooler Pump

When all of the following conditions are met, the wintercooler pump will activate

• The wintercooler pump is enabled.
• At least one recirc pump is active.
• The ambient temperature is less than or equal to the the wintercooler on SP.
• The tank cold side temperature is more than 2 degrees above the chiller SP.

The winter cooler pump will remain active until any of the following occur:

• The wintercooler pump is disabled.
• All recirc pumps are off.
• The ambient temperature is greater than or equal to the wintercooler off SP.
• The tank cold side temperature is more than 5 degrees below the chiller SP

4-9 Process Pump Control

The process pump’s required IO (one digital output and one digital input per pump) will start
with the first input and output on the control. If there is a VFD on the process pump, the first
analog input will be allocated to process pump pressure and the first analog output will be
allocated to the process VFD speed signal.

When the system is online and a process pump or process standby pump is enabled, the
process loop will be active. If more process pumps are enabled than required (determined by
the PROC PUMPS REQUIRED variable), the extra enabled pump(s) will start if one of the
active pumps fails or is taken offline.

If process pump rotation is enabled, the process pump with the least run hours will activate
first. If process pump rotation is disabled, process pumps are activated in the following
order, pump 1 - pump 2 - standby (if present).

The process pumps will not be allowed to run if the tank low level fault alarm, high temp
fault or the pump’s fault alarm activate.

4-10 Recirc. Pump control

The recirc pump’s required IO (one digital output and one digital input per pump) will start
with the first available input and output after the process pumps have been assigned their
required IO.

When the system is online and a recirc pump is enabled or the recirc standby pump is
enabled, the recirc loop will be active. If more recirc pumps are enabled than required
(determined by the RECIRC PUMPS REQ variable), the extra enabled pump(s) will start if
one of the active pumps fails or is taken offline.

If recirc pump rotation is enabled, the recirc pump with the least run hours will activate first.
If recirc pump rotation is disabled, recirc pumps are activated in the following order, pump 1
- pump 2 - standby(if present).

The recirc pumps will not be allowed to run if the tank low level alarm, high temp fault or the
pump’s fault alarm activate.
