6 Troubleshooting
Problem Possible cause Solution
Blower does not run. No power.
Check main disconnect,
fuses, overloads, wiring and
power lead to unit. See
Figure 4 on Page 16.
Blower running in reverse.
Check rotation - reverse
motor leads.
Check for foreign matter or
restrictions.
Clean.
Variable voltage input.
Check for voltage variation
and deviation from name-
plate voltage. It should be
within 10% of the nameplate
voltage.
Dirty filter. Clean the filter.
Blower does not deliver a
proper amount of air.
Blower undersized.
Check amperage input and
compare with nameplate
amperage of unit. CalI sales
representative.
Unit not cooling; high air
temperature. Check for malfunction in the
chiller system.
Moisture carry-over
(external).
Check for condensation on
the air ring; insulate air ring
surfaces.
Restriction in the blower coil;
check for foreign matter and
clean. Check if unit is without
filter; install filter.
Partial freeze-up of the coil -
obstructing coil surface area.
Increase air temperature; see
Section 5-3 on pages 27-30.
Film bubble breaks.
Moisture carry-over (internal).
Obstruction of the conden-
sate drain. Check for proper
piping. Check for foreign
matter. Keep clean.
