6. 2 Insulation Diagnosis Tests
This instrument can measure and perform following items as a part of
Insulation resistance Test.
- Insulation Resistance (IR)
- Polarization Index (PI)
- Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR)
- Dielectric Discharge (DD) *Auto-testing
- Step Voltage Test (SV)
Measurement Mode Function
Insulation
Resistance （IR） Performs normal insulation resistance
measurements (consistent measurements)
Polarization Index（PI）
Measures resistances twice and calculates
polarization index automatically.
（ default value: 1 min, 10 min）
Dielectric Absorption
Ratio （DAR）
Measures resistances twice and calculates
dielectric absorption ratio automatically.
（ default value: 15 sec, 1 min）
Dielectric Discharge
（ DD）
Calculates dielectric discharge based on the
measured capacitance of the measured object and
residual current values after testing.
Step Voltage Test（SV）
Increases the set voltage by 20% every time
when pre-set time comes.
