Safety instructions
1.1 Intended use
The manufacturer is not liable for any damage resulting from improper use or use for other than
the intended purpose. Intended use is when the measuring insert is operated in a suitable
thermometer assembly allowing for incorporation of replaceable measuring inserts. In every
instance, the sheath length must be adapted to the thermowell.
1.2 Approvals and certifications
1.2.1 CE
The measuring inserts without temperature transmitters are simple measuring devices for
which no EC directives were applicable at the time of print.
The EC directives applicable to measuring inserts with temperature transmitters are contained
in the relevant documentation.
1.2.2 ATEX
ATEX approval for the OPTITEMP measuring inserts is pending. As soon as this is available, you
have the option of ordering Ex-approval according to ATEX. The relevant Ex-manual contains
more detailed information.
