TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
Poor arc starting when the DC600
is in the CV Sub-Arc or CV
Innershield Modes.
Machine has output but trips off
immediately when wire feed unit
trigger is activated
POSSIBLE AREAS OF
MISADJUSTMENT(S)
1. Make sure the proper welding
procedures are being used.
(wire feed speed , arc voltage
and wire size)
2. Check weld cables for loose or
faulty connections.
1. Remove output cables from
DC-600. If problem is resolved
check for external short
between weldiong cables. Also
check control cable (#75, #76,
& #77) for grounds or shorts.
