NOTE:

The product design allows you to change the lithium battery with the Industrial
Personal Computer either on or off.
z
Saved settings will be restored when changing the lithium battery with the power
turned off (as the settings are stored in non-volatile EEPROM). However, the date
and time must be reset because this data is lost when changing the lithium
battery.
z
Only qualified personnel can change the lithium battery.

Replace lithium battery with identical type.
z
Follow all lithium battery manufacturer’s instructions.
z
Do not recharge, disassemble, heat above 100
°C (212 °F), or incinerate.
z
Use your hands or insulated tools to remove or replace the lithium battery.
z
Maintain proper polarity when inserting and connecting a new lithium battery.
z
Remove all replaceable batteries before discarding the Industrial Personal
Computer.
z
Recycle or properly dispose of used batteries.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

Action

Disconnect the power supply to the Industrial Personal Computer.

Touch the housing or ground connection (not the power supply) to discharge any
electrostatic charge from your body.

Remove the black plastic cover from the lithium battery compartment

Carefully pull out the lithium battery using removal strips

The lithium battery should not be held by its edges. Insulated tweezers may also be
used for inserting the lithium battery.
