USB Cable Attachment
Introduction
When using a USB device, attaching the USB cable with the Industrial Personal
Computer’s cable clamp (located on the rear side) prevents the USB device from
disconnecting.

The table below describes how to attach the USB cable:

EQUIPMENT DISCONNECTION OR UNINTENDED EQUIPMENT OPERATION
z Ensure that power, communication, and accessory connections do not place
excessive stress on the ports. Consider the vibration environment when making
this determination.
z Securely attach power, communication, and external accessory cables to the
panel or cabinet.
z Use only commercially available USB cables.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or
equipment damage.
Step Action
1 Shut down Windows® in an orderly fashion and remove all power from the device.
2 Place the unit on a clean, level surface with the display facing downward. Place a
soft, non-abrasive pad on the surface before placing the unit upon it.
