5.6 External Peripheral Interface Connection
The following external peripheral devices can be connected to the external peripheral
interface connectors.
Keyboard and mouse connectors
Serial port devices
VGA
screens
Parallel port devices
Ethernet
connection
USB
devices
Audio
jacks
To install these devices, connect the corresponding cable connector from the actual
device to the corresponding IMBA-XQ354 external peripheral interface connector making
sure the pins are properly aligned.
5.6.1 Keyboard and Mouse
The IMBA-XQ354 has a dual PS/2 connector on the external peripheral interface panel.
The dual PS/2 connector is used to connect to a keyboard and mouse to the system.
Follow the steps below to connect a keyboard and mouse to the IMBA-XQ354.
Step 1:
Locate the dual PS/2 connector. The location of the dual PS/2 connector is
shown in Chapter 3.
Step 2:
Insert the keyboard/mouse connector. Insert a PS/2 keyboard or mouse
connector into the appropriate PS/2 connector on the external peripheral
interface connector. See
