We strongly recommend reading through this
entire manual if this is your first installation of the
hardware. The installation of the Tempo Ultra
ATA66 with additional internal IDE hard drives
requires that your computer have one available PCI
slot and, depending on the number of drives being
installed, unoccupied drive expansion bays.
Figure 1 illustrates the location and installation
of the Tempo Ultra ATA66 into a PCI slot; your
computer’s logic board and location of PCI slots
may differ from what is pictured.
Figures 2-4 illustrate the location of drive expan-
sion bays in popular desktop and tower-based
Power Macintosh computers.
