Robertshaw ROUND ZONE DAMPERS User Manual
Round, Zone dampers, Product description features and benefits
Robertshaw motorized round zone dampers are just
what you need for low-pressure zone control systems,
and they enhance airflow in any duct system. Our
dampers are designed for light commercial and
residential applications with static pressure systems
not exceeding 1.2” WG. All round zone dampers are
constructed of rolled galvanized steel with stiffening
ribs to maintain rigidity. A single steel offset blade is
attached to a 1-piece steel shaft connected with
nylon bearings for smooth operation. They are
powered by a single stall-type motor with 55 to 75
inch-ounces of torque.
Dampers can be wired with 2-wire or 3-wire
actuators. The 2-wire actuators are spring return with
a normally closed or normally open configuration. The
3-wire actuators are power open-power close in a
normally open configuration. The motor has a “lost
motion” braking system that prevents backlash and
shock to the motor gears, bearings and blade shaft
when the damper is driven open by the spring return.
