1. Apply a light coat of dielectric grease (59972-
00) to the mounting shoulder of the generator.
Locate the two (2) counter bores in the mounting
shoulder of the generator. Align these holes with
the two threaded holes in the generator mounting
plate. Push the generator straight into the mounting
plate until the generator bottoms out. Tighten the
two (2) set screws until they just contact the
generator.
2. Be sure the shaft of the generator inserts
directly into the coupling. Tighten the coupling set
screws using a 5/64" Allen wrench.

2. Remove set screw from the air motor mounting
plate using a 1/8" Allen wrench and pull the air
motor straight out of the air motor mounting plate.
3. To remove the air motor mounting plate from
the generator assembly, remove three (3) socket
head cap screws from the motor/generator
standoffs using a 1/8" Allen head wrench.
4. To remove the three (3) standoffs, using an
adjustable wrench turn each of the standoffs
counter-clockwise. These standoffs are secured
to the generator mounting plate by a light retention
adhesive. When reinstalled, be sure to secure
these standoffs with a suitable adhesive.

The set screws and the socket head
cap screws used in the AVIATOR all have
a nylon thread lock adhesive. They may be
assembled and disassembled up to 10
times. After 10 uses of the fasteners, it is
recommended that they be replaced. When
replacing these screws it is recommended
that only genuine ITW Ransburg replace-
ment parts are used to prevent problems
with AVIATOR performance.
