The 9040 Classic power supply allows for use of
an external (normally closed) overload reset button.
This is convenient when the power supply is
mounted in a hard to reach or inconvenient location
or when it is desired to control overload reset of
several power supplies from a single location.
To utilize the external overload reset perform the
following:
1. Ensure the front panel fuse is removed, the
power supply is unplugged and the ON/OFF switch
is in the OFF position.
2. Open the power supply cabinet door.
3. Remove the factory installed jumper from 1TB-
5 to 1TB-6 and replace with contact wires of the

4. Secure the cabinet door, replace the fuse, and
plug in the power supply.
