If possible, it is best to check the spindle oil level after the machine has been operated. This will allow the oil to

flow easier.

Position the head vertical as shown in Figure MntP-B-0002. Remove the breather/check plug from the square

portion of the spindle housing. Remove the fill plug and fill with NLGI 000 grease (Alamo P/N 00765444) until

it comes out of the breather/check hole in the square portion of the spindle housing. See Figure MntP-B-

0003. Replace breather/check plug and fill plug.

FML 100 HEAD:

Position the head horizontal and lower to the ground. Remove the filler/breather from the top of the spindle

housing. Remove the check plug from the side of the housing. Fill the spindle through the top hole until it

comes out of the side check hole. Replace the filler/breather and check plug.

HYDRAULIC OIL, FILTERS, AND COMPONENTS

Filters and Oil - Change the Pressure Filter after the first 100 hours of operation. Change the filter again at 400

hours or every 12 months. Change the oil after the first 400 hours of operation. After that, the oil every 800

hours or every 12 months. Refer to decal for proper oil vioscosity for operating conditions.

If the Mower head cuts off or loses power it may be an indication that the Pressure Filter needs to be changed

Change Filter element of filter on pressure port of valve when indicator is red in color. Indicator can be found on

top of the filter housing. Replacement Filter element Part No. is 02976067.

Keep all hoses and adapters tight. Repair any leaks immediately. Do not overtighten hose end fittings.

Tighten to specifications only. (See Chart Below)

Check the hydraulic oil level daily.
