Network access beyond Router
In order to access beyond Router (Firewall), user must open 3 TCP ports for Command level,
Live channels, and Storage channels. If these all ports are not open properly, user can not
access DVR beyond a router.
If DVR sets port number with 5445 as bellow, user has to open 3 TCP ports (5445, 5446 and
5447).
3-5-2. Network types
There are three network types. Each type requires different settings.
LAN
To use the LAN option when connecting the DVR to a network, the following information is required. If you do
not have this information, see your network administrator.

1. When using private static IP in LAN: Please ask the fixed IP address, Gateway, Subnet Mask, &
DNS server name to your network manager or administrator.
2. When using private static IP that is set in a router:
IP address: IP address that is assigned in a router.
Gateway: Gateway of a router
Subnet Mask: Subnet Mask of a router.
You should open three ports, if you are using a router. Please refer to “3-5-1.
Port”.
