SETTING UP YOUR SOFTWARE
Windows 3.1
Most of the CD-ROM titles has SETUP.EXE or INSTALL.EXE program reside in the CD disc. User need
to start either one of the program to add Program Group and its Icons in your computer.
In Program Manager click on File => Run then type in D:\ (or the drive letter assign for CD-ROM)
SETUP.EXE or INSTALL.EXE then follow the on-screen instructions. After finish setting up you just click
on the Icon for the program.
Windows 95
Click Start button go to Setting => Control Panel click on Add/Remove Programs then follow the on
screen instructions to install your program.
The up coming CD-ROM for the Windows 95 title will include the ‘AUTO RUN’ feature. This means when
user closed the tray with this type of CD inside it will start the opening screen automatically. You can
add the program, browse, etc. from this screen.
NOTE:
While operating the PCMCIA CD-ROM, the speed of your computer’s CPU and display card
will dominate the overall performance, especially when playing full motion video (*.AVI or
*.MOV). Slow display speed often causes “still frame”. In our testing, some computers are
capable of performing as high as 15 frames/sec; however, some can only achieve 2
frames/sec.
