TESTING STEPS:
1.
Turn the Power Switch OFF.
2.
Remove the two small screws that hold the Pedal to the yellow guard.
3.
Use a flat tip screwdriver to pry the Pedal free from the guard. It is secured by silicone
caulk.
4.
Use a flat or Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on the sides of the pedal and
remove the top. See Fig 25.

Test for continuity at the wired connections with the switch still in the pedal.
6.
Without depressing the Spring Plate the switch should read OPEN. With the spring plate
depressed, the switch should read CLOSED.
Note:
The switch is wired at the COM and NC terminals because the Spring Plate de-
presses the button on the switch at rest, holding the switch OPEN.
7.
If the switch fails this test it must be replaced. Remove the two remaining Phillips screws
through the switch to remove it from the Foot Pedal.
