IDRaman Software Set-up

Procedure
1. Turn on the computer.
2. Copy the device initialization file, IDRamanMini.inf, from the IDRaman Driver folder on the
USB memory stick to C:\Windows\inf.
3. Turn on the IDRaman mini instrument (using pushbutton on the front of the unit) and then plug
the instrument into the computer using the micro USB cable supplied. It will automatically load
device drivers.
4. Copy the IDRaman Installer folder from the USB memory stick to the computer.
5. Double click on Setup.exe in the Volume folder.
6. Follow on-screen instructions to complete installation of the IDRaman Software.
7. Upon completion of installation, restart the computer.
8. Click the IDRaman Software in the Startup Menu. Wait until the system’s red button disappears.
You are ready to take spectra.
9. Install Tera Term open source software from the USB memory stick for later use during library
building. See Appendix A: Tera Term Software .
