Appendix A

Troubleshooting

If you are having problems getting your Remora to communicate properly, try the following
troubleshooting tips:

Issue

Possible Solution

You have configured the networking in such
a way that it is not operating or you don’t
remember the settings.

You can always get to the device via the factory IP of
192.168.7.5. See

Configuring Your Computer

.

You cannot communicate with the Remora.

Reboot the Remora and wait a full 2 minutes before
trying to communicate with it.

The network communication seems to drop.

Power-cycling the Remora will usually fix the problem.

You are trying to acquire spectral data (either
through the web interface or SpectraSuite)
and the Remora appears to “hang.”

Unplug the USB cable from the spectrometer and plug it
back in. If necessary, reboot the Remora.
