Application: 2002-04 Dodge 1500 (2WD and 4WD)
1. Raise and support the front of the vehicle. Check and replace any worn
or loose suspension parts.
2. Working on one control arm bracket at a time, remove existing control
arm mounting bolt.
3. Using one left and one right adjusting bracket (brackets are marked left and right) position them on either
side of the frame mounting brackets so that the slots in frame mounting brackets line up with the slots in
the adjusting brackets.
4. Slide one flat washer onto the bolt/washer combination, and insert the bolt through the new adjusting
bracket and the frame mounting bracket. Once the bolt/washer is installed, slide another flat washer onto
the bolt. Install the large washer, lock washer and nut.
5. Set cams in neutral position and tighten nut. Make sure the adjusting brackets are flush against frame
mounting brackets.
6. Repeat procedure for remaining three upper control arm bushings on both sides.
7. With alignment equipment installed loosen and rotate bolt to adjust camber and caster.
8. Torque nut to 85 ft.lbs. Reset toe and road test vehicle.
Warning: Always check for proper clearances between suspension components and other components of the
vehicle.
