328 I/O Modules
Output Modules
AES Digital (#310): The AES Digital output provides four
additional AES digital outputs that may be used to drive a
second record deck or for digital monitoring. A setup menu
on the 328 mixer display allows the outputs to be driven
from either the program bus, the monitor bus or the meter
bus. The outputs are locked to the mixer and operate at the
internal sampling rate of the mixer.
Channels
8 (4 Pairs)
Format
AES3id 75Ω unbalanced
Sample Rates
48KHz / 96kHz / 192kHz
Precision
24 bits
Analog (#313): The analog output module adds an
additional 8 channels of highperformance analog audio
to the 328 mixer. Using audiophile quality chips and cir-
cuit design, the analog output delivers an incredibly rich
and dynamic sound. Like all of the mixer outputs, the
analog output may be driven from either the program
bus, monitor bus or meter bus. A rackmount external
XLR connector bridge is available (see Accessories) to
simplify the installation process.

SD/HD SDI Embedder (#314): The SD/HD SDI
Embedder module embeds the 8 output channels of the
mixer into an SD/HD SDI video stream. The SDI format
(SD or HD) is detected automatically. Asynchronous
sample rate converters on the module permit unlocked
SDI sources or higher audio mixer internal sample rates
to be used without audio 'hits'. Alternatively, the sample
rate converters may be bypassed if the mixer is operat-
ed at 48kHz and both the mixer and the SDI signal are
locked to house sync allowing support for the pass-
through of non-audio data such as Dolby E.

GPI Module (#347): The GPI module is an affordable option that may be added to any of the 328 Series
mixers. It provides four additional GPI contacts allowing external equipment to monitor either program or
preview audio and recall register setups. (Gray|328 mixers come standard with one GPI for Transition Start.)
The GPI module option is installed at the factory and must be ordered with the initial mixer purchase.
Analog Output Converter (#344): The Analog Output Converter is a low-cost DB-25 (D-Sub) adapter that
converts the 8-channel analog outputs of the 328 Series mixers to the common Tascam pinout, allowing the
use of an off-the-shelf DB-25 to XLR snake cable available from a number of audio accessory resellers.
Fully shielded, the Analog Output Converter assures AES48 compliance by routing the cable harness shield
to the chassis ground of the mixer.

Cable Wrangler (#340):
The Cable Wrangler is a
1RU rack-mount panel that
can accommodate up to four
4-XLR input bridges, two 8-XLR output bridges, or one 8-XLR output and one or two
4-XLR input bridges. Each bridge comes with a 1 meter (3 feet) shielded audio cable
to make connections to the Renegade Labs analog audio input and output modules a
snap. Jumpers on each bridge allow a choice of pin 1 grounding configurations to
accommodate various grounding schemes and to allow AES48 compliance.
