Now, check what happens when you fl ip the switch from single phase to dual phase rectifi cation.
Flip the switch back and forward, to clearly see the difference between both settings.
A little theory:
As you can see, the ‘interruptions’ we have noticed with single phase rectifi cation are gone. As opposed
to single phase rectifi cation, both halves of the sine wave are used. Instead of a single diode, we use 4
diodes to make a ‘diode bridge’

In experiment 3, we have learned how to measure the frequency of a repeating waveform.
Can you measure the period and frequency of both the single phase and dual phase rectifi ed signal?
(Answer: 10ms/100Hz or 8.33ms/120Hz)
