Problem
Your V.92 modem does not connect reliably at V.92.
Solution
Make sure that you have the latest firmware from our web site
(
fers V.92 at the number you are calling.
If you still have a V.92 problem, you might need to modify your
Internet Connection string in Windows.
To modify your Internet Connection string:
1 Double-click the Computer or My Computer icon on your Desk-
top, and then select the Networking icons and tasks that let
you view the existing Internet Connection to modify.
2 Select that connection, then view its Properties.
3 Select General > Configure > Connection > Advanced.
4 Add initialization (init) strings on the line labeled Extra Set-
tings. Enter one of the init strings listed below. Try these
commands one at a time until you find one that gets the
highest connection rate for your telephone line conditions.
