Redefining brands
If you purchase a new component with a brand that you have not yet defined in the remote control, you need to redefine the brand to activate
your new component.
You can redefine brands by selecting or by searching.
■ Redefining brands by selecting
1 1 Switch to the Brand mode via at the bottom of
the touch screen.
The Device menu pops up.
2 2 Select the component for which you want to redefine
the brand.
3 3 Complete steps 4 to 12 in “Defining brands by
selecting” on page __.
4 4 Redefine all the other components you want.
■ Redefining brands by searching
You can use the Search mode to find the matching RC codes for
your component when your brand is not displayed in the list of
brands, or you selected your brand, but do not know which code set
to select.
1 1 Switch to the Brand mode via at the bottom of
the touch screen.
The Device menu pops up.
2 2 Select the component for which you want to redefine
the brand.
3 3 Complete steps 4 to 9 in “Defining brands by search-
ing” on page __.
4 4 Redefine all the other components you want.
