Adjusting the focus (Fig. 21)
1. Rotate the focus adjustment knob @ of the SZ2-FO up/down moving
stage to bring the stage at the center of the focusing stroke.
2. Place a specimen on the stage and rotate the focus adjustment knob ²
on the side of the stand in use to bring the specimen into approximate
focus. And then adjust the accurate focus using the focus adjustment
knob @ of the up/down moving stage.

The transmitted light illumination field may be limited depending on the
diameter of the hole on the stage center plate in use.
# Darkfield observation is not available with the SZX-ILLD2.
# The brightness drops when a frost filter is used.
