Express Recording (XPR)
Use XPR to quickly record the remaining portion of a program being watched. XPR is a great
way to capture the end of a sporting event that has run into overtime or a live broadcast that
runs long.
XPR works in 30-minute increments. You can capture the last 30, 60, 90, etc. minutes of
programming (providing on tape length, up to four hours).
To Activate XPR:
1.
Insert a tape with the safety tab in place into the TV./VCR. The TV/VCR will
turn on.
2.
Select the channel with the desired programming. To record from the
AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks, press INPUT. Two selections appear in the
channel field. Press 1 to select VIDEO 1, the rear AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks.
Press 2 to select the front panel AUDIO/VIDEO IN jacks.
Note
: To override the preferred tape speed setting, press the SPEED
button on the remote control repeatedly to toggle through SP or SLP
choices.
3.
Press REC (Record) twice to start recording.
4.
Repeatedly press REC to set up the recording duration.
•
Each press of REC adds 30 minutes of recording time.
•
The TV/VCR automatically turns off after recording for the amount of time
set.
•
To stop capturing XPR, press and hold the STOP button on the remote
control or TV/VCR front panel for several seconds until “STOP” appears
on-screen.
5.
During express recording, press REC to display the time remaining on the
screen. Press REC again to increase the recording time. The TIMER REC
indicator on the TV/VCR’s front panel will light during express recording.
