Telephone Operation
Making Calls
Press TALK, wait for a dial tone, and use the number keys to dial a number.
–OR–
Enter the phone number first, then press TALK to dial.
Answering Calls
• If Auto Talk is off, press TALK to answer a call.
• If Auto Talk is on and handset is on the base, pick up the handset from the
base.
• If Auto Talk is on and handset is off the base, press TALK, any number key,
TONE f or
g to answer an incoming call.
Ending Calls
Press TALK or put the handset back on the telephone base to end a call.

Note: The call timer is activated during a call to show call duration.
Listening Volume
Press RING/VOL +/– to adjust the listening volume during a conversation. An
error tone sounds when the maximum or minimum volume is reached.
Redial
Press TALK. When you hear a dial tone, press REDIAL to redial the last number
dialed.
–OR–
Press REDIAL, then TALK. The redialed number can be up to 32 digits long.
Channel
Press DEL/CH to switch to a clearer channel while on a call.
Scanning
appears
on the display.
Paging the Handset
Press PAGE on the telephone base to locate the handset when the handset is
off the telephone base.
The handset beeps and
Paging
displays on its screen. The handset beeps for
60 seconds.
