Dial Mode
If you have pulse (rotary) service, set the TONE / PULSE switch on the back of
the base to PULSE. If you have touch tone service, the telephone is ready for
use as soon as the battery is charged.
If you are not sure of your dialing system, make a trial call using tone dialing. If
the call connects, leave the setting as is. Otherwise set for pulse dialing.
Ringer Options
Turning the Base Ringer On and Off
Slide the RINGER ON / OFF switch on the side of the base to ON or OFF.
Selecting the Base Ringer Tone
Press RINGER TONE on the side of the base to select one of the seven ringer
tones (when phone is not in use).
Adjusting Base Ringer Volume
Slide RINGER VOLUME to set ringer volume at a desired level.
Selecting Handset Ringer Tone and Volume
Press the RING/VOL +/– on the side of the handset to select one of the five
ringer tones and volume combinations (when phone is not in use):

Ring Type A High
•
Ring Type A Low
•
Ring Type B High
•
Ring Type B Low
•
Ringer Off

Notes:
• If the ringer volume is set to off,
Ringer Off
appears on the display.
• If the ringer volume is set to off, the handset still beeps when you press
PAGE.
Visual Ringer
You can set the brightness of the visual ringer LED on the base. Set VISUAL
RINGER switch on the side of the base to HIGH, LOW or OFF.
Audio Boost
Slide the AUDIO BOOST switch on the side of the handset to ON to turn
boost on.
Boost On
appears on the display when you start a call.
