Selecting the Scan Mode (Scan Mode)
This function selects whether there is a skip to every other scan-
ning line, or whether scanning lines are reproduced in order and
projected.
Select [Picture]
→
[Scan Mode] from the main menu.
Select the scan mode with the cursor ▲/▼ button, then press the
ENTER button.
Auto ...................... Automatic switching to suit the image.
Non Interlaced ...... Scanning lines are scanned in order to
reproduce the image.
Suited for still pictures.
Interlaced Video ..... Every other scanning line in skipped to
reproduce the image.
Suited for moving pictures.
Interlaced PC ........ Every other scanning line of the picture of
the personal computer input is skipped to
reproduce the image.
Selecting Smoothing (Interpolation)
Select the item that suits the projected image of the personal
computer or video signal, etc.
Select [Picture]
→
[Interpolation] from the main menu.
Select PC Mode or Video Mode with the cursor ▲/▼ button, then
press the ENTER button.
PC Mode .............. Set this mode when importance is placed
upon high-definition images such as with
workstations.
Video Mode .......... Set this mode when importance is placed
upon natural pictures such as with video
images.
NOTE: When a personal computer is selected and the Video Mode is
set, the picture may be disturbed depending on the signal. Should this
happen, please use the PC Mode.
