6. To install a 3 1/2-inch device in an accessible slot:
T Remove the plastic blank panel from the selected slot by pressing the
panel tab inward and swinging the blank panel out (see the following
figure).

T Use a screw driver to remove the metal slot cover by carefully pressing
it until it breaks away from the chassis.

CAUTION
Be careful of sharp edges!
T Slide the device into the slot and secure the device.
7. Connect the device cables (see “Cabling an IDE Device”).
8. Replace the front panel.
9. Replace the access cover.
