In E (Pet mode), you can take pictures that show natural hair color of
your pet. Select the appropriate icon depending on what color your pet
is (closer to black or white or in between).

Press the four-way controller (3) in Capture mode.
The Mode Palette appears.

Use the four-way controller (2345) to select E (Pet mode).

Press the OK button.
The screen for selecting the pet mode appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to select E,
F , F, H, G or G.
There are two types of pet icon; dogs’ and cats’.
Selecting either the cat or dog icon does not
affect the resulting picture. Select whichever
you prefer.

Press the OK button.
The desired Pet mode is selected and the
camera is ready for taking pictures.

Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The focus frame turns green when the
subject is in focus.

Press the shutter release button fully.
The picture is taken.
Taking Pictures of Your Pet (Pet Mode)
When you select Pet mode or Sport mode, the automatic tracking
AF function is activated and the camera continues to adjust the
focus on the moving subject even after the shutter release button is
pressed halfway.
