Protecting Your Photos

Use this feature to protect, or “lock,” your photos to prevent
them from being deleted. Once photos are protected, they
cannot be deleted until you unprotect them or format the
memory card.

Protecting photos

You can protect either the photo currently displayed in the
LCD, or all of your photos at once.

Turn on your camera.

Rotate the Mode knob to the PLAY setting.

If you want to protect only one photo, rotate the Zoom
control left or right to display the appropriate photo in
the LCD. For more information, see “Reviewing Your
Photos” on page 25.

Press the Menu button.

The

PLAY

menu displays in the LCD.

Rotate the Zoom control to highlight the

Protect Files

menu option.

Press the OK button.

The

PROTECT FILES

menu displays in the LCD.

Rotate the Zoom control to highlight your choice:

Select

Protect Current

to protect the photo

currently displayed in the LCD.

Select

Protect All

to protect all photos stored on the

memory card.

Select

Cancel

to cancel out of this menu without

making changes.

Note:

To unprotect, or “unlock,” your photos, select

Unprotect Current

or

Unprotect All

from this

menu.

Press the OK button to save your changes and return to
the

PLAY

menu.
