8 Press the shutter button halfway down.
• If the LED next to the optical viewfinder lights solid
green, the shot is in focus.
• If the LED next to the optical viewfinder is blinking
red and the camera beeps twice (if beeps are
enabled), the shot is either not in focus or the
lighting conditions are inadequate. The camera
may be too close to the subject. Press the Macro
enable button (top of camera) to set the lens to
Macro, then take your photo.
9 Press the shutter button down fully.
Note: After you take a photo, the red status LED beside
the optical viewfinder lights to confirm that the
camera is processing the photo.
For close-up photos
Press the Macro mode enable button on the top of the
camera for subjects that are from 1.5 to 18 in.
(3.8 to 46 cm) from the camera.
Note: For best results with the Macro lens, the camera’s
zoom setting should be set all the way to Wide Angle
(turn the Zoom control left for Wide Angle).
