Adjusting the exposure
compensation

If your photos are coming out too dark or too light, you can
use the EV compensation setting to adjust the amount of
light the lens allows into the camera. You may also want to
lighten or darken your photos to achieve special lighting
effects.

Turn the camera on.

Rotate the Mode knob to the RECORD setting.

Press the Menu button.

The

RECORD

menu displays in the LCD.

Rotate the Zoom control to highlight the

EV

Compensate

setting.

Press the OK button.

The current setting displays (highlighted) in the LCD.

Rotate the Zoom control left or right to increase
or decrease the setting. You can set the exposure
compensation from

–1.5

(darker photos) to

+1.5

(lighter photos).

Press the OK button to save the setting and return to the

RECORD

menu.

Note:

Each time you turn the camera off and on again,
EV compensation resets to the default,

Reviewing Your Photos

You can review your photos in the following ways:

As you take each photo (Quick View mode)

One photo at a time without photo data displayed

One photo at a time with photo data also displayed

Nine thumbnail photos at a time (3

x 3 table)

As a slideshow

On your TV
