You can choose the number of recorded pixels of still pictures from
[2304Ч1728], [1600Ч1200], [1024Ч768] and [640×480].
The more pixels, the bigger the picture and the larger the filesize. The
quality level setting also affects the filesize of your pictures (1p.73).
Recorded Pixels

Press the MENU button in Capture mode.
The [A Rec. Mode] menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to select [Recorded Pixels].

Use the four-way controller (45)
to change the recorded pixels.

Press the OK button.
The camera is ready to take pictures.

Suitable for printing on A4 paper
1600 (1600×1200)
Suitable for printing on paper slightly larger than a postcard
1024 (1024×768 )

Suitable for printing on postcards
640 ( 640×480 )
Suitable for attaching to e-mails or creating websites
• The larger your recorded pixels, the finer the details will appear
when you print your picture.
• The Recorded Pixels setting is saved when the camera is turned
off.
