In this mode, you can set the shutter speed manually. The camera
automatically sets the aperture to obtain the optimal exposure at the
shutter speed you have chosen. Use this mode when you want to
emphasize movement by setting a slow shutter speed to take a moving
subject, etc.
1
Set the mode dial to b.
2
Use the four-way controller (23)
to change the shutter speed.
Pressing 2 increases the speed and
pressing 3 reduces the speed.
3
Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The camera adjusts the aperture value accordingly.
If the appropriate exposure cannot be obtained, the aperture value
displayed on the LCD monitor turns orange.
The focus frame turns green if the subject is in focus.
4
Press the shutter release button fully.
The picture is taken.
Shutter Priority Shooting
Total recording time will be longer when the picture is taken at a
slower shutter speed, because the noise reduction function
activates to reduce noise.
