STANDBY-ON

– Turns on the recorder or switch to standby
mode.

OPEN/CLOSE
– Open or close the disc tray.

SETUP
– Enters/exits the system setup menu.

TIMER
– Enters/exits the timer recording menu.

Numeric keypad
– Selects a chapter/track number to play.
– Selects the recorder’s preset TV tuner
channel.

DVD REC
– Activates the ‘direct recording to DVD’ mode.
– Press again to enter ‘direct recording to HDD’
mode.

EDIT (For DVD±R/±RW only)
– Enters/exits the video editing menu.

AUDIO
– Selects an audio language (DVD, SVCD & some
VCD) or an audio channel.

KARAOKE
– Turn on/off the Karaoke mode.

SUBTITLE

Selects a DVD subtitle language.

– Stores/confirms an entry.
– Confirms a selection.

– Cursor buttons for moving to the left/ right or
making a forward/reverse search.
– In time shift mode, use button to jump
forward 30 seconds and button to jump
backward by 10 seconds.
: Cursor buttons for moving up/down.

PREV& NEXT
– Skips to previous or next Chapter/Track.

VOL +/ –
– Adjust the volume of the DVD

TUNER
– Go back to TV status.

DVD
– VCD/SVCD disc PBC on/off or go to the DVD
disc menu.
