Use the flash (if desired)
The camera is pre-set to Auto flash, which means the flash fires when the lighting
situation calls for it. If you want to use a different setting, see page 27.
Stand 3 to 8 feet (1 to 2.5 m) from your subject for best results with flash.
If the flash fires, you cannot take another photo until
the power/status indicator (a) on the back of the
camera stops blinking.

Outdoors (no flash): 2 feet (.6 m) or more
from your subject

Indoors (with flash): 3 to 8 feet (1 to 2.5 m) from your subject
