Configure Display Settings
Before you configure your system for the Sun Common Desktop
Environment or OpenWindow, you need to set the display mode for
your display controller. Planar provides a default display mode that
you can use or override.
Read these sections before you configure CDE or OpenWindow:
• “Overriding the default display mode” on page 13
• “Using visual classes” on page 16
Then read the appropriate section for your window environment:
• “Running OpenWindow” on page 21
• “Configuring the Common Desktop Environment” on page 21
The Dome DX2 driver automatically detects the type of flat panel
connected and sets the default display mode as shown in this table.
