Syslog Fields
Field
Description
State
Select to enable or disable the syslog.
Host
Enter the IP address of the remote server to which system logs are sent for
storage.
Local Port
Enter the number of the local port on the XPort AR from which system logs
are sent.
Remote Port
Enter the number of the port on the remote server that supports logging
services. The default is 514.
Severity Log Level
From the drop-down box, select the minimum level of system message the
XPort AR should log. This setting applies to all syslog facilities. The drop-
down list is in descending order of severity (e.g., Emergency is more severe
than Alert.)
