Local Lincoln Authorized Field Service Facility for technical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed.

1. Rough wire feeding or wire not
feeding but drive rolls are turning.
a. Gun cable kinked and/or twisted.
b. Wire jammed in gun and cable.
Check for mechanical restrictions
in feeding path.
c. Check for current position of drive
rolls Relative to split wire guide
groove.
d. Drive rolls may not be seated
properly.
e. Gun cable dirty. - Clean if neces-
sary.
f. Worn drive roll.
g. Electrode rusty and/or dirty.
Cable frayed, or poor solder joint
at work or electrode lug.
h. Worn nozzle or cable liner. -
Replace if necessary.
I. Partially flashed or melted contact
tip. - Replace if necessary.
j. Incorrect drive roll pressure. -
Readjust if necessary.
k. Improper liner, tip or inner/outer
guides. - Replace if necessary.
If all recommended possible areas of
misadjustment have been checked
and the problem persists, Contact
your local Lincoln Authorized
Field Service Facility.
