New firmware is required to use the SmartBeaconing function in the following cases:
• If transceiver and controller version is older than Version 2.00

10.5 How to Update
Carefully read the update instructions provided when you download the software. Begin the
procedure only after you understand the provided instructions.

During a routine update, there are times when automatic resets are executed. Therefore, ensure you back up all values
and channel data prior to beginning the firmware update.
 To restore the backup data, confirm all data is correct using on MCP-2A prior to writing data back to the transceiver.
