Troubleshooting-DVD
Possible Solution
• Turn off the TV/DVD and unplug the AC power cord for several minutes, then
replug it.
Problem
• Playback doesn’t start.
• No picture.
• No sound.
• Picture is distorted during fast
reverse/forward playback.
• Stopping playback, search,
slowmotion play, repeat play, or
program play, etc. cannot be
performed.
• No on-screen display.
• No surround sound.
• The TV/DVD or remote operation
key is not functioning.
• No disc is inserted. (See page 30.)
• The disc may be dirty. Clean up the disc. (See page 6.)
• The TV/DVD cannot play CD-ROMs, etc. (See page 5.)
• TV/DVD selector is not set correctly. (See page 29.)
• Check the input selector of the amplifi er is set properly.
• The TV/DVD is in the special playback mode. (See page 31.)
• Select the correct Audio Output position on AV amplifi er.
• The picture will be distorted occasionally.
• Some discs may not do some of the functions.
• Select Display to On. (See page 40.)
• The setup does not match your stereo system.
• Check the Parental setup. (See page 41.) • Playback does not start when the
title is selected.
• Multilingual language is not recorded on the DVD disc. (See page 34.) • Audio soundtrack and/or subtitle
language is not changed when
you playback a DVD.
• Some discs have no subtitles. (See page 34.)
