You can delete all the still images on the
“Memory Stick Duo” media to recover
recordable free space to allow you to write
in. If you want to format the “Memory Stick
Duo” media. select [YES]

• Formatting erases everything on the “Memory

Stick Duo” media including protected image
data and newly created folders.

Tips

• The “Memory Stick Duo” media has been

formatted at the factory, and does not require
formatting at purchase.

SERIES

Assigns file numbers in sequence even if
the “Memory Stick Duo” media is replaced
with another one. The file number is reset
when a new folder is created or the
recording folder is replaced with another.

RESET

Assigns file numbers in sequence,
following the largest file number existing
on the current “Memory Stick Duo” media.

When you select [YES], you can create a
new folder (102MSDCF to 999MSDCF) on
a “Memory Stick Duo” media. When a
folder is full (a maximum of 9,999 still
images are stored), a new folder is
automatically created.

Notes

• You cannot delete the created folders using the

VCR. You will have to format the “Memory
Stick Duo” media (p. 63), or delete them using
your computer.

• The number of recordable still images on a

“Memory Stick Duo” media may decrease as
the number of folders increases.

You can select the folder to be used for
recording using

V/v, then press EXEC.

Tips

• As the default setting, still images are saved in

the 101MSDCF folder.

• Once you record a still image in a folder, the

same folder will be set as the default folder for
playback.

You can select the playback folder using
V/v, then press EXEC.
