Playing an MP3 disc
You can play back a CD-R/CD-RW disc on which tracks are recorded in the MP3 for-
mat.
Selecting a folder on an MP3 disc
Skipping tracks:
While a disc is playing, press the
or
button.
Tracks skip within a folder.
Playing repeatedly (Repeat play)
While a disc is playing, press the button.
The mode switches as follows: " T (track)", "
(folder)", "no display (normal play-
back)".
Notes:

Alternatively, select a track number with the direct number buttons (0 - 9) and
press the ENTER button to play.
z
If the cursor is placed on a track (not playing) for 10 seconds or more, it starts to
play.
z
Tracks may not play in the recorded order.
z
The unit recognizes up to 8 levels in the folder tree, including folders and tracks.
z
256 tracks can be recognized.
z
You can also play multi session discs.
z
When the first session contains audio tracks in the CD format, the unit recognizes
the disc as a CD and plays only those tracks.
z
It may take some time to read a disc depending on the number of files or folder
tree structure.
z
Up to 8 characters are displayed for folder or track names. Some characters and
symbols may not appear properly.
z
MP3 discs with data recorded at high speed may not play, or noise may occur dur-
ing playback.
z
The MP3 functions are not available when you burn MP3 files on a CD-R/CD-RW
disc to create an audio CD. Play the disc as a standard CD.

Move the cursor to a folder and press the button. Playback starts from the
first track.
