Making and Receiving Phone Calls
Switching the Phone On and Off
To switch the phone on or off, press and
hold the
) key on the top of the
phone. If you switch the phone on but no
SIM card is inserted, you will be asked to
insert one. After you insert the SIM card,
the phone checks that it is valid.
A number of messages will then be
displayed:
• Enter PIN - a request to enter the SIM
card PIN code (if required).
• Enter Phone Unlock Code - a request
to enter the phone unlock code (if
required).
• Searching... followed by a network
name - as the phone searches and then
finds a suitable network to connect to.
Entering the SIM Card PIN Code
To enter the PIN code, enter
AO.
As you type each digit, a
* character is
displayed.
Press and release the C key to delete
the last digit. Press and hold C to
remove the entire entry.
After you enter the PIN code, press O.
If you enter an incorrect PIN code, Wrong
PIN is displayed, followed by Enter PIN .
