Speed.Changes
To.change.the.drilling.speed,.do.these.steps:
1... UNPLUG.THE.DRILL.PRESS!
2.. Loosen the belt tension lock knobs on the
side of the headstock (see Figure.35).
3. Locate the desired speed on the chart and
move the V-belt to the desired V-grooves
on the motor and spindle pulleys (see
Figure.36).
4.. Push the motor inward, and move the V-
belt to the right spot.
5.. Push the motor toward the back of the
headstock. The motor support rod is spring
loaded and will follow the motor. Tighten
the lock knob when the right tension is
achieved.
6. Close the cover.

The Model W1669 and W1670 Radial Drill Press
has 5 speeds ranging from 550 to 3470 RPM.
To find your needed drilling speed and pulley
combination, refer to the speed chart located
under the belt guard; or go to .Page.22 and
refer to the Drill.Press.RPM.Chart.
