TURNING THE POWER ON/OFF
Turning the power on
When capturing images

Set the main switch to [

] or
[ а ].
[ б ]: The LCD monitor is used.
[ à ]: The LCD monitor is not used.

Turn the selector dial to [ W ], [ Y ]
or [ X ].

Press the power button.
œ The power turns on, the lens
extends and the standby indicator
next to the viewfinder lights.
œ If the main switch is set to [

], an
image appears on the LCD monitor.
When playing back images

Set the main switch to [

].

Press the power button.
œ The power turns on, and an image
appears on the LCD monitor.
