The HKPF-E270 HDCAM Encoder Board is designed to
convert HD SDI signals (conforming to SMPTE292M/BTA
S-004B) to SDTI (HDCAM) signals. The bit rate and the
maximum transmission distance are common between
SDTI and SDI. This means that by combining
HKPF-E270 HDCAM encoder and HKPF-D270 HDCAM
decoder boards, existing routing and processing
equipment for SDTV serial digital signals can be
upgraded to also support HDTV signals. This preserves
past investments.

The HKPF Series function boards install in the PFV-HD Series Interface Units
together with the BKPF Series function boards.
