Resolved Issues
Following a reboot of the nTier700, the BlueScale web interface
correctly shows the status for all system components.
The iSCSI page in the BlueScale web interface correctly shows the status
of the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Service.
The non‐functional
Windows Desktop
option has been removed from the
BlueScale web interface. The Spectra nTier700 Backup and Archive
Appliance User Guide provides updated instructions for connecting to
the Windows operation system.
The BlueScale web interface no longer posts error messages about the
status of the auxiliary fans when the fans are operating correctly.
After sending a manual AutoSupport Log (ASL), a green message
stating that “Log set sent successfully” displays and the New Log Set
dialog box closes.
Windows Data Protection Manager (DPM) is no longer listed on the
BlueScale Applications page. If DPM is installed, it is listed under either
Other Services or Other Applications.
Note:
Microsoft Data Protection Manager (DPM) is no longer available
for purchase with the nTier700.
BlueScale2.8.0.1
This release implements hardware changes to the nTier700. It also updates
the Windows operating system with the patches that were available as of
June 14, 2010 (with the exception of Internet Explorer 8) and the drivers for
the internal cards.
Enhancements and Changes
The Spectra nTier700 Backup and Archive Appliance User Guide incorrectly
states that Ethernet ports 2 through 4 have a fixed IP addresses as the
default. The default IP address for all four Ethernet ports is set to DHCP.
Refer to Spectra nTier700 Backup and Archive Appliance User Guide for
information about using a blade operator panel to determine the DHCP‐
assigned address for Ethernet port 1 and if necessary configure a fixed IP
address.
