Changing the audio language or
sound [AUDIO]
Some DVD discs contain multiple audio tracks. With such discs,
you can choose which audio track to listen to during playback.
At the beginning of “multi-audio language” parts,
appears on
the TV.
❏ During playback
From the remote control only:
1
Press AUDIO.
The on-screen display appears on the TV.
2 Press AUDIO or the
2 2 2 2/3 3 3 3 cursors to select
the desired audio language or sound.
Each time you press the button, the audio language or sound
changes.
Example:
3 Press ENTER.
The Audio selection display disappears on the TV.
Notes:
• When appears on the TV:
You cannot select the audio.
• The selected language may abbreviated on the TV. See
“Appendix A: Table of languages and their abbreviations”
in this manual.
• The Audio selection display will automatically disappear if
you do not change the audio for 10 seconds.
Changing the audio channel [AUDIO]
For in some karaoke Video CDs and SVCDs, one of the audio
channels includes a vocal while the other does not.
With such discs, you can choose to enjoy karaoke without the vo-
cal or with the vocal by selecting the audio channel to be played
back.
❏ During playback
From the remote control only:
1 Press AUDIO.
The on-screen display appears on the TV.
2 Select the audio channel(s) to be played
back using AUDIO or the
2 2 2 2/3 3 3 3 cursors.
Each time you press the button, the audio channel changes.
Example for Video CD:
Example for SVCD:
3 Press ENTER.
The Audio selection display disappears on the TV.

• When appears on the TV:
You cannot select the audio.

L: You hear the L (Left) channel signal played back
from both the left and right speakers.
R: You hear the R (Right) channel signal played
back from both the left and right speakers.
STEREO-1: You hear normal stereo playback of Stereo-1.
STEREO-2: You hear normal stereo playback of Stereo-2.
L-1: You hear the L-1 (Left-1) channel signal played
back from both the left and right speakers.
R-1: You hear the R-1 (Right-1) channel signal played
back from both the left and right speakers.
L-2: You hear the L-2 (Left-2) channel signal played
